AI agents deserve an operating system.
We started Averta because we saw a gap that nobody was filling. AI agents were being deployed into production with the ability to make decisions, call tools, and access sensitive data, but without any dedicated security layer governing their actions.
Every other layer of the software stack has an operating system. Hardware has one. Networks have one. Applications have frameworks that manage permissions, processes, and resources. AI agents had nothing. So we built it.
What we believe.
Security should be a layer, not a blocker
AI agents should ship fast. Security should make that possible, not prevent it. The right security layer is invisible to developers and impenetrable to attackers.
Models can't secure themselves
Relying on the model to enforce its own policies is like asking the process to manage its own memory. Security must operate independently, outside the model's control.
Defense requires depth
No single layer catches everything. Classification, policy enforcement, and action governance work together. When one layer misses, the next one catches it.
